Finding the right country to settle in is never easy. A lot of factors come in when considering a country and, without any doubt, one of the major factor in our choice is the quality of life. Expat Insider has released the results for the 2017 poll on the best country in the World for quality of life and the results are quite surprising.
At the top of the rank there is a country that usually is not considered a lot, unless you are European and retired, Portugal.
According with the survey the best country in the World for quality of life is Portugal. The survey interviewed over 13000 expats from 166 different countries and living in 186 countries. The survey proposed a list of 65 countries, which are considered the best countries to live in. The winner hands on is Portugal. This country keeps growing and is attracting not only retired and adult people but also a lot of young people, especially because their startup eco-system is also growing incredibly.
There are over 40 factor considered, among this : quality of life, cost of living, security, health system, public transport food and local people. Portugal is the preferred because it is easy to settle in, people are very friendly and helpful, the weather is good with mild winter and hot summers and cost of living is not very high compared to other countries.
